The Cannington Lions Club would like to thank everyone who came out to celebrate Canada Day with us and make the event an enjoyable one. We deeply regret the technical problems which caused a very short fireworks display. We are still investigating the issues with our fireworks contractor and we will be reporting to the residents how we will make this up to you. We've celebrated with 13 great years of great fireworks and we're hoping this unlucky 14th year can be forgiven. We want to thank all of the volunteers, young and old, who braved the heat to put on this annual event. We understand many people did not attend due to the heat and we fully understand. We want to thank all of the groups and organizations who were in attendance. And a special thanks goes out to the volunteer firefighters of hall 82 for their participation and assistance during the day.

The Cannington Lions Club is proud to present Canada Day 2018
However, we can't do it without the valued financial support of our sponsors. While we do receive valued funding from The Federal Government those funds only cover about 15% of the costs. To make sure we provide an excellent day for our residents we need the support of our sponsorship partners.
There are many different levels of sponsorship to meet the budget needs of businesses and organizations.
While some businesses and organizations may have received a package from us we welcome support from all community-minded sponsors.
If you are interested in sponsoring Canada Day 2018 please review or sponsorship package. If you have questions you can contact Lion Walter Schummer. If you know which level of sponsorship fits your business then simply complete the application form and return to us.

The Cannington Lions Club is permitting a limited number of vendors at this years event.
Historically we have not included vendors at the event since there is a limited amount of income which can be generated at the event and The Cannington Lions Club strives to provide the event for the people of Cannington and area while targeting to break-even on a financial level. By having vendors at the event there is the risk to The Lions Club that funds needed to support the event may be drawn away by vendor activity.
With the above in mind, The Cannington Lions Club is welcoming potential vendors but a rental fee must be paid and proof of insurance must be provided with a Certificate of Insurance naming The Cannington Lions Club as "additionally insured". The below application form must be completed and completion of the form does not guarantee acceptance as a vendor at the event.
The Cannington Lions Club is granted permission by The Township of Brock to operate the Canada Day event in MacLeod Park and The Lions are given exclusive use of The Park and its facilities during that day. Except for The Cannington Historical Society (through its museum operations), all activities within The Park are the responsibility of The Cannington Lions Club.
The vendor application form must be completed by all vendors wishing to take part in Canada Day. If multiple vendors are operating under one umbrella group then special pricing may be permitted but all vendors must complete an application and be properly insured and provide proof of such with the appropriate certificate.
